HealthEast, the clinical commissioning group which controls NHS funding in the area is set to announce massive cuts to mental health services in Norfolk and Suffolk on THURSDAY SEPT 25TH at its board meeting.

In spite of overwhelming opposition to the plans it is believed that the cuts involve the closure of much if not all of the services at Carlton Court hospital in Lowestoft. This is being driven by a cut of £44m, 20% of the total, from the budget over four years.
The service is already at breaking point yet Andy Evans, HealthEast’s Chief Exec, and the GPs, who supposedly control HealthEast, intend to enforce these shameful cuts.
